TRIBUTE TO A MENTOR
I just heard about the painful death of our Lecturer at JIGPOLY and KUST Dr. Salisu M. Sani, Verily I was shocked by this painful exit and am full of grief and agony.
I feel obliged to pin down this little tribute to a Legend, Mentor and Inspirational Figure in my Academic Journey. Who has inspired us to work hard and stay strong, May God Grant Him Jannatul Firdaws.
It’s an undeniable fact that Your absence Sir will leave A vacuum in our souls,For in our life you played Such an important and Unforgettable role,
We will feel blanked out And empty from inside.
You didn’t just teach us To live with curiosity
You have lit a fire Which will burn continuously and propell us to The Zenith of Life
You didn’t just teach us To work with excellence You have taught us to gather More life experience.
You aren’t just a Lecturer,
You are a Father, Brother, Mentor and Guiding Angel For Us Sir!! Your Memories will Forever Remain in our Heart beyond Eternity.
I remember the times when you were there for Us,
You stood close to us like a friend, always there for us until the end.
We will never forget you and the things
you helped us through.
Our inspiration is you.
You were always there when we needed you.
We will always have great memories of you
I lay my gratitude across your memory
Like flowers strewn across an open bier.
Not often does one soul ignite another
With such intensity as yours did to mine.
I’m burning still with all your inner fire,
Humankind to your Promethean joy.
There is no gift so glowing I can give you,
Nor any way my love can reach your heart.
All I can do is pass your torch to someone
Else to whom the distant mountains call.
May Jannatul Firdaws be Your Abode.
